(IDEA 106-1)

All Northwestern engineers are required to take two quarters of EDC, usually during their freshman year. EDC teaches the design process by giving freshman a chance to work in an engineering team with students from all engineering disciplines. The teams comprise of four freshman and each team is assigned a client and a project.

Our client was a bilateral amputee from RIC (Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago). She wanted to be able to use hairspray, but without the use of her hands, she was unable. Below is a video showing the problem.
